These pictures are my favorite landscape photographs of Cortona, Italia from 2022–2023.

Cortona Skies

When I moved to Cortona, Italia nine years ago, I immediately fell in love with its skies. Every day they presented new compositions of color, light, and form. I began photographing them with my phone for social media, but as I learned more about photography, I began making skyscape pictures with a mirrorless DSLR camera.

Six years ago taking photographs became a daily practice, and I made sure to carry my camera during my runs and walks around Cortona and its surrounding landscape.

I continue that practice today. These pictures are the best ones I’ve made during the past twelve months, during 2022–2023.
